The Panhandle Great 25 Nurses Scholarship Application

opens each Spring for nursing students in the Texas Panhandle enrolled in accredited programs for the next Fall semester. These scholarships are designed to support students pursuing various levels of nursing education, from Undergraduate to Doctoral degrees. In November, recipients will be honored at the Annual Panhandle Great 25 Nurses ceremony.

Each scholarship is valued at $2,000 for undergraduate, $2,500 for MSN, and $3,000 for DNP. The application deadline is April 10th. Late submissions will not be considered.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program for the next Fall semester.

Applicants must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.

Eligible programs include the institutions to the right and degree tracks below:

Undergraduate Programs:

  • Amarillo College
  • Clarendon College
  • Frank Phillips College
  • Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo
  • West Texas A&M University

Graduate Programs:

  • Students from the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle enrolled in accredited Master’s or Doctoral Degree Programs with a Major in Nursing are encouraged to apply.

  • ADN Program
  • RN to BSN Program
  • Master’s Degree Program with a Major in Nursing
  • LVN to RN Program
  • Traditional BSN Program
    • includes Second-degree BSN Program or Veteran to BSN Program
  • Doctoral Degree Program with a Major in Nursing
